RE: UMAX/YAMADA 2100 FAULTY?????

I send you a mail that was rejected..?

Just to say I have sent a fax to ebuyer (bellow)

If you are planning to fax them, I`d appreciate it if you changed the language - I found that individual messages do a lot more good than clones.

I am faxing you to make a claim on your Warranty.

Under the terms of your warranty:-

8.4 If the goods supplied to you develop a defect while under warranty or you have any other complaint about the goods, you should notify the Supplier in writing via the e-mail address or fax number shown below, as soon as possible, but in any event within 7 days of the date you discovered or ought to have discovered the damage, defect or complaint.

I am hereby informing you that the Yamada 2100 DVD player (Order No:*****) you have supplied is defective. The onboard 5.1 decoder has developed a fault which causes it to generate clicking noises when playing back AC3 or DTS audio.

Unless there is a staightforward fix for this fault, please arrange for a replacement DVD player to be sent and the defective player to be collected.

RE: UMAX/YAMADA 2100 FAULTY?????

I`ve just sent eBuyer an enote asking if there is some form of firmware update that can be applied to the machine. If there isn`t I`ll try to swap the machine (and not the speakers) back.
