RE: 11W Energy saving lightbulbs at Tesco 47p

Take an old person into Age Concern and you`ll be given two energy saving lightbulbs for free.

£5 off Firebox voucher.

I think this is ages old, but as it is still available I thought it may be useful to some who haven`t used it.
Especially at this time of year.
Please note that even though it says on the page that the closing date was June 2004, it does still work. I used it at the weekend.

So here it is then, a fiver off anything you want at Firebox.com. (admittedly, delivery is 3.95, but at least it knocks that off plus an extra quid.)

Firebox Voucher

I bought a Turbo Lighter and a lolly with a scorpion in it.
Merry Christmas Dad.

NEW ultrathin Moto L6 for 79.99 with £30 of airtime on Virgin PAYG

This has been listed as Coming Soon for soooo long now. But tonight it was launched at last.

The phone is a hybrid of the ultrathin V3. It is not a flip phone but does have all the V3 features, including camera, bluetooth, Mp3 ringtones, Push to Talk video playback Plus one thing the V3 does NOT have, Video capture.

New customers can pick the phone up for a bargain price of £89.99 which includes £35 of airtime. That`s equivalant to getting the phone for just 55 quid!!!

Or Existing Virgin customers, like me, can get it for £79.99 without a sim, but including £30 of airtime. Bargain!

Mine`s ordered and is due for delivery to me on Saturday.

www.virginmobile.com/mobile/cms/view-page?page=MOT-STD-L6-1

Be quick `cos this is sure to sell out now the present buying season is upon us.

You have to ring back and cancel on the 30th day. Slight hassle for a free month. Good offer I think.

RE: Goodfellas Special Edition - Under £6.50 Delivered!

Blimey! Sold out already? I only ordered mine five minutes before I started this thread. I was bloody lucky there wasn`t I?
Sorry about that folks.

Goodfellas Special Edition - Under £6.50 Delivered!

8) Ever since I can remember, I wanted to own this special edition for under a tenner.
And now, I can. And so can you if you go to GAME where it is currently retailing at the crazy price of £4.98 + £1.50 postage.

Funny how?

RE: Rio Karma 20 GIG. £119.99 Hurry to Dixons/Curry`s

Thanks to the original poster.
I went out and got one as soon as I`d read this thread today and have been enjoying it`s many pleasures since.
It`s a great piece of kit and well worth the bargain price.

RE: Venturer Portable DVD Player £89.99 (Normally 99.99)

Also available in Asda at the same price.

Disney BOGOF

8) Surprised there`s not already a thread about this, so nearly didn`t post it, but just in case anyone is unaware, Disney dvds are currently Buy One Get One Free everywhere.
Even the recent Aladdin DVD is included.

Bah! Why didn`t I wait??? >:(

RE: FREE Gregory`s Girl DVD.

Bloody typical! I am the original poster of this offer that seems to be paying off for all of you. But have I received a dvd yet?
>:( I think I`ve been forgotten. :(

Blockbuster Vouchers at KFC!!

8) Dunno if this is a country-wide offer, but my local KFC (Ashton-Under-Lyne) is currently giving out vouchers to get Free rentals at Blockbuster with their Variety Buckets.
Well worth it as the bucket on it`s own is a bargain.
For £14.49 I got 10 pieces of chicken, a LARGE box of popcorn chicken (approx 30 pieces), 6 crispy strips AND 4 regular fries PLUS 2 Blockbuster Vouchers.

There is also a 9.99 version with less food and only one voucher. This will only be a limited offer, so go and feed your faces fast.

RE: Sainsburys Mico R311 DVD Recorder - Now £49.99 (And some Home Theatre also)

Just rang my local store (I`m in the manchester area) to be told they do have the recorder in stock, but not the refuburished ones meaning they are still scanning at £149.99.
Bummer!

Wes Craven Box Set - Under a tenner.

Four films:
Scream
Hills have eyes
Last House On The Left
Some other trashy movie

All special editions and all for only £9.99 at good old Asda.

RE: Lodos DVD Player £30

I`ve seen this same player in ToysRUs (Stockport branch) for 19.99.
I have no idea if this is just a local offer though. There`s no mention of it on the site. I`ve looked.

RE: Get Paid To See ROTK and other films.

Quote:
Not really a bargain - moved to General as no doubt the offer will attract some teasing of sorts from our regulars...

Huh?
Not a bargain?

If it is true, it means you effectively get to go to the cinema for FREE!!

How is that not a bargain?

Get Paid To See ROTK and other films.

This is fantastic.

Cinecheck is a company who check on cinema advertising for advertisers.
They use ordinary movie goers to check what trailers are shown and which posters are displayed at cinemas around the country.
They`re currently recruiting UK checkers.

Simply go to http://www.cinecheck.com./ and register.

Then all you have to do is volunteer for the assignmentof your choice (Checkers for ROTK and Peter Pan are currently being sought), they will ask you to look out for certain trailers, posters and foyer displays and ask you to email your findings to them within a time frame.
If you do this you will receive a payment which will pay for your tickets and then some.
Payments depend on the number of screens the film is showing on.

For example, if you were to attend a cinema screening ROTK this weekend on 4 screens ( not unlikely) your information would net you £12.50

can`t be bad eh?

RE: Hack needed for Bush 2013, or will other bush hacks do?

Hi there Stridersgal, I have found my way here by searching for an answer to your desperate plea on the Empire site, yeah that`s right, it`s that Frankie!

It seems, there is no hack for your machine, but Im sure you`ve probably already gathered that. Have you tried the Bush 2023 hack though?
http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/info/multiregion/full/Bush2023.asp
I`ve got a feeling about it.

This may not be of any use, but personally I would recommend getting rid of your Bush, (oo-er, missus!) and buying a player you have checked for hacks for FIRST!

I have recently bought a Roadstar 114 from Argos. It`s only 59.99 and is Multi-regional and VCD friendly straight out of the box. No Hacks needed!
I was very impressed with it.
You can order one at the address below.
And No, I don`t work for Argos, by the way.
http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/commerce/command/ArgCmdReferral_Create?referrer=TDP&display=PROD&dataid=05333150&site=WEB&pparams=adref*CONTENT

Hope you sort it out SG, and seeyou back on Empire!

RE: New back to the future discs!

Anyone know how I`m gonna exchange my region4 discs?

RE: Roger Rabbit reg 1 £5.99

I`m sorry, but I cannot believe some of you are still so angry about this. I think that CD WOW have acted very proffessionally in clearing up this matter. They are honouring refunds to those who had ordered which I don`t believe they have to do. Give `em a break, as a lot of people have already said, this is an unusual incident for CD WOW, so I would not let it stop me from using them again.

At Christmas, I ordered some Gamecube titles from them, when they were delivered I had to pay Customs charges of £9.00 on top of the price I had paid.
Understandably, I was not happy about this situation and let CD WOW know, in a strongly worded e-mail.
All credit to them, because they issued a swift and very apologetic reply and a refund for the customs charge.
This is good enough for me, a mistake was made and was rectified in the manner I had hoped for.
What is the point of being bitter about situations like this? nobody has been treated unfairly, so everybody should be happy!

RE: Disney films for 6.99

Quote: and the fact that Roger Rabbit was not a Disney film!!!!

It is Disney actually, for a couple of reasons. Touchstone Pictures was part of the Disney Empire plus it has Disney characters in it which required Zemeckis` team to buy the rights from Uncle Walt`s company.
So it is very much a disney movie!!
