RE: PSP 3000 Headphones Question

Badboybez
Ordinary headphones just plug into the round hole. No good asking at dedicated game shops like those mentioned because they will only be staffed by staff that can play a game to death but have NO commonsense nor idea about the product they are selling you! yet the shop management will think they are the best people to employ :/

RE: Friends complete - Series 1 - 10.. £49.99 at Zavvi

RE: Friends complete - Series 1 - 10.. £49.99 at Zavvi

RE: Logik IR100 Internet Radio £39.99 at Currys

Hi Carolyn
Bought 2 of these a few weeks ago and all I can say is Wow :B . Forget DAB(unless you dont have wireless). Very good sound for a mono radio and as you say can save fav`s on Reciva web page.
Saw in Makro yesterday there was a Logica(I think) that can be hooked up to HiFi and ll you hav is a normal sized remote handset to control, thinking of checking it out.

RE: 250,000 Free Ryanair Seats

:¦ No disrespect to poster. Butttttt would not use them even if mr ryanair brought tickets to house. Man has a serious attitude Problem "what do expect for the money". >:( >:(

RE: Lloyds TSB to charge account holders who don`t use their cards

What are U trying to insinuate? :o
After all that effort in maintaining the account and the Boy/Girls at the top extra expenses they endure like tipping when they go out to eat etc.

NYPD BLUE

:( Well looks like only a few more minitues to go. Will miss it as I started from the early days, then missed it like everyone else when it went walkabout for a couple of years if I recall. :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

RE: Rumsfeld`s gone

Slightly safer world me thinks! :) :) :)

RE: NYPD Blue - Final Season starts next week...

I concur :( :( :(
After the 2 year or so messing around it seems that it is over before it just restarted! :/ :¦ :(

RE: Cheap Gamecube @ Toys`R`Us

Splintercell

MX2 have game sale on at present limited stock of game cube even though web page shows in stock. Got half of what I wanted. Used them years ago and were ok then. Murder getting through via phone. Other formats in sale also. http://www.mx2.co.uk/

RE: Anyone recommend a decent sub £60 digital camera?

Chris as a matter of intrest, I know it`s too late now .

Quote:
The Mrs won out in the end. We found one of the Vivicam 5385s in Superdrug and went for that as it was £70 instead of the normal £100

But was looking for a cheap optical zoom camera for daughter to take with us on holiday and brought the Viicam 4325 (4mp) @ super durg for £30. Think the one you have (5mp) is £40. Can`t go wrong @ those prices :D

RE: NYPD Blue dvd

Looks like NYPD is back on E4 monday 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

RE: Bargain games

Also ordered from them Die Hard, Medel of Honor,Misson Impossible, Outlaw Golf (GameCube all around £15 in total) and various The Beat Dvd`s. Not much choices but silly not to at those prices.

RE: Dell Inspiron Laptop

Final price confirmed even wrote it down. Don't want to jump on the not speaking English bandwagon (Youngsters speaking a form of slang that no one but them understands because it is cool :/ ) and they are born here!

Just took delivery the end of this week, unopened as yet because if they give me any waffle will tell them to take back, and contacted credit card company Saturday to keep them informed of dispute.

RE: Dell Inspiron Laptop

Rossington
I have no doubt it is a good buy, it`s just the way something has been added that says it was free in black and white in the national press and then the hassle of trying to explain to robots that you don`t do that in this country unless it is made clear at point of sale (misled comes to mind). >:(

RE: Dell Inspiron Laptop

Bytemaster
>:( Ordered one last 2 weeks ago Friday but thought I had missed the offer. Sales person said he could do at offer price and then proceed to ask if I wanted to upgraded various things. Took the increased screen size and the 3 year at home service.
Invoice confirmation arrived only to see vat and freight charges have been added.
Now correct me if I'm wrong but advert says incl vat and shipping.
After the crap of press this and press that, I am told that because I added extras! I lose the vat and shipping freeness.
Tried contacting them today with no luck( press this press that then music then dead line).
Quite frankly I have not opened the box but if I'm having grief like this trying to resolve things at the beginning, what if things breakdown. I will be informing them of the distance selling rule and if they don't resolve to my satisfaction they may as well have it back.
So to sum up bytemaster in theory nice offer but too much underhand going on.

RE: Tiscali 1Meg BB - intermittent feeds?

Stantz
Good luck to you with Tiscali just pray you don't have a problem/query with them!
As for AVG been having the same problem for the past two weeks also. Followed their advice on allowing exceptions in windows firewall but no luck.
Guess shouldn't expect a free meal.

RE: Argos - Alba 15

Dayspring
Purchased one last week. Picture was not quite what I was expecting but that may be due to the fact of the ariel being in the loft and being shared with TV in other bedroom.
Main plus is that it has a VGA input which means I can use it with an old PC as well as the TV function

RE: Tesco good, Parcelforce bad

Don't even go there Mr Rabbit. :D
I've no doubt most retailers are good but as soon as you have the item sent via any sort of courier (inc Parcel force) its going to be bad news if your not in.
From not getting hold of them via the phone, to them not delivering on a weekend even though you probably paid extra for the privilege of having a fast delivery? :p

Won a auction bid on e-bay recently for a brand new abet replica grandfather clock and paid a fixed fee of £50 to have a secure fast delivery using said parcel force. Came home one day to see the dreaded "as you were not in" card with a footnote saying it was over the fence (6ft). >:( Admittedly it was perched on two bins behind but that's not the point, luckily the clock was very well packaged so I could not be bothered to complain and receive the bog standard book of second-class stamps!

So not taking anything away from your plight Mr Rabbit the moral of the story is use ordinary mail where ever you can and at least if you/they not in it can pick it up at the local sorting office.

RE: Lidl Digital Satellite Receiver

Er Thanks Emily. I`m out my depth here! :) :/ :( :( :( :( :(

RE: Lidl Digital Satellite Receiver

Thanks for info Rassilon63 . Seems more trouble than it`s worth if thats the case :(

Lidl Digital Satellite Receiver

Excuses the daft question.
But does anyone know how the satellite receiver advertised on the Lidl web page http://www.lidl.co.uk/gb/index.nsf/pages/c.o.oow.20040819.p.Digital_Satellite_Receiver can pick up Pre-programmed satellites: Astra, Astra II, Eutelsat, Hotbird, Türksat, Hellasat, Sirius and Hispasat with out a movable dish? :/
Thanks in advance

RE: Has anyone bought a "JVC DRM1" Dvd Recorder???????????????

I confer Qweng that it only will stamp date and time on you have to manually input title.

RE: NYPD Blue Season 2 R2 £20

Thanks boogaloo.
Would have probably missed it also. Like most things that don`t keep a viewing figure of over 100000000000 per week it gets relegated to some ungodly hour and then they say not enough people watch it!

RE: Has anyone bought a

Telboy10
Disc`s arrived this morning 8) 8) 8) . Approx 1 month, so result. Good luck with yours but I did chase them up a week ago ;) .

RE: cheap philips dvdr70

Saw that one also cat in the hat!
Bargain :) . May tip the scales for someone undecided whether to go the + or - way.
Judging form the amount of replies you've had regarding this, looks as if most people reading these forums have already made their purchases 8)

RE: jvc drm1 recorder

Mamps
See informative earlier thread with regards to this model. "Has anyone bought a "JVC DRM1" Dvd Recorder???????????????"

RE: Annoyed with Richer Sounds!!

Hi Mattwhite1
Found myself in exactly the same position as you a few weeks before Xmas. Narrowed it down to the Panasonic or JVC. Saw richer Sounds doing the price match thing, but when I contacted one of their branches I was told the same as you were. :/ Must admit I did not see the exclusion in their brochure issue 257 Oct/Nov and on rechecking just now I still can't see it. The only thing I can think of is that they were seeing how popular these objects were going to be and so excluded them.
I suppose they are within their rights to do so.
Don't know what area you are, but if it's Ilford or Stratford, PRC for £245 as advertised in "What Video & Widescreen TV" Jan 2004 :) . Check availability before going if you can though.
