I have been catching up on series 2 recently and last night sat down to watch series 3 ep1 on my V+ box, only to find in horror that the first ep recorded appears to be ep2!!!!

No idea how this has happened!!!!!!!

Has anyone got a copy of ep1 they can burn off for me pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese???

Try not too worry. You`ll end up saying some bits you hadn`t planned for, and forgetting some you had, but no-one will be any the wiser. The best-man can`t really go wrong as everyone is a little tipsy by then, and will laugh at the smallest gags, and cry and smile if you lay on a bit of sentiment.

You`ll come out a winner!

Paull - I would love to get a copy of this disc. My lovely wife (bless her) was suppossed to record the 30th Jan episode but didn`t didn`t set the time correctly for the whole show, so when I settled down to watch it last night I got as far as him visiting his old street, then it stopped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Problems playing SACD`s

I am having problems getting my Sony DVD player to play SACD`s. The model is a DVP-NS700V. When I close the drawer (after selecting SACD playback on the remote) the player will only go to CD, and will not let me switch,

Does anyone know if there is a cretain setting I need to have the player on, or something in the `custom set-up` section I need to switch on or off?

Just seen the new Sony Walkman, which looks ace (better than an I-pod). Anyone know if you have to use Sony`s music download site, or whether you can download straight form a PC?

Motorola picture download

I have a Motorola V975 that I am trying to download the pictures from to my laptop, but can`t seem to. I am guessing I need some software/drivers loaded onto my pc. Can anyone help with this?

Speaker Brackets???

I have a pair of bookshelf speakers (weighing about 8kg) which I am looking to stick up on the wall of my kitchen/dining room, and angle them down slightly. I don`t want the type with a base on them, or clamps, as I want the bracket to be hidden.

I thought I had found a pair (Atacama Matrix) which would be ideal, however, the speaker has a port on it above the connections so the bracket would have to sit slightly off-centre, and i`m worried the weight would twist the bracket if not totally centred.

Has anyone else had this problem and overcome it? Anyone know of a bracket that would suit, as I have trawled the net in search of something suitable but with no joy, yet?

My DVD outputs to svideo through my amp and this is all fine.Its my Sky box that I`m unsure of. It`s linked direct to the TV with scart. I want to do away with the scart>tv and run scart>svideo into the amp, thus one svideo cable to the tv.

Cheap Two Towers EE version at Morrisons

Just picked up The Two Towers Extended Edition from Morrisons for £10.99.

Scart to Svideo

If I run a scart>svideo cable from my Sky box (not Sky+) to my amp, which then connects via svideo to the TV, will I get a colour picture?

Just read a thread on another site that thinks there may be problems as the cable is not a convertor. Is this the case? And if so, what is the purpose of this cable if it doesn`t convert the signal?

I`ve only ever had PC`s but happened to be round someone`s house the other day who had a Apple iMac with a gorgeous big screen.

Just looking for (unbiased) opinions of whether to move into the Apple market - pro`s & con`s - over a PC.

Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works Vol 1. (serious home-made BASS-Miester)

This album was solely responsible for, not just a small tear, but blowing segments of my dad`s Aiwa speaker cones out completely, back in the early 90`s.

Needless to say, I am a little more careful when playing it these days. I did commandeer those speakers when I left home and still have them in my dining room, and must say they still work well, with no distortion except at high levels - solidly built.

I`ve got a set of Yamaha speakers (think they are 1 or 2 models behind this set) that have various keyholes on the back for vertical/horizontal mounting. I bought a similar bracket from my local dealer, which came with various screws/bolts, and it was just a case of using the most appropriate. I have a solid mounting for my rears now.

Which output to listen to CD`s?

I use my Sony DVD player to listen to music as well as watch films. It`s connected to my Yamaha amp via Toslink, and I have to manually switch the `effect` OFF (for 2 channel) when swapping between DVD or music. The reason being, I wanted the music info. to travel along the optical cable rather than through phono leads - digital over analog. If I switched to phono leads would this be analog, and would I notice the difference (loss) in sound? Its becoming tedious to switch the effect off, and (ahem!) I think my wife gets confused and ends up listening to films in 2 channel if the switch hasn`t been flicked back! (bless!)

Unfortuanately I have a wooden floor, although quite stable. I do however have a couple of squash balls lying around ever since giving up squash.......well, I was missing valuable film watching time, or something like that!!!
