Diamonds Are Forever is a great Bond Movie. It marks the last time Sean Connery was cast as Agent 007. The movie sarts with Bond coming back from his previous case to go right into a new one. Bond is told that smugglers are stockpiling large amounts of diamonds and he has to find out who is doing the smuggling. 007 goes to Holland first, going undercover as a diamond smuggler named Peter Franks. He meets up with Tiffany Casse (Jill St John) who has diamonds that she wants sneaked into the USA. But before 007 can get to them, the smuggler whom he has been going undercover as, shows up and Bond fights him in a elevator and kills him and then makes Tiffany believe that he just killed James Bond. Afterwards 007 goes to Las Vegas and at first he thinks that a multi-millionaire named Willard Whyte is against him. Later in the movie when Bond goes up to the penthouse of Whyte`s Hotel/Casino The Whyte House to confront him, he then finds out that the millionaire was not the one calling the shots against him and sees that his old ememy Ernst Stavro Blofeld (Charles Gray) is the main man and is using the diamonds to use for his deadly laser satellite. From that point on this movie is full of action and a few laughs. Sean Connery driving a car away from the police around the streets of Las Vegas is a good scene. Another good scene is where Q uses his latest gizo to win the slot machines! This DVD has a lot of extra features. There is a well detailed commentray with Guy Hamilton and the cast and crew. The is also a 30 minute documentary about the film which is very good. There is deleted scenes and a documentary about legendary Bond Producer Albert R Cubby Brocoli and much more. I would rate this disc 9/10.
